Marina Petrova, CEO
Passionate about data and consumer insights, Marina has 25 years of experience working with businesses and consumers around the world. Before she fell in love with the travel industry, she worked in digital marketing – Vice President Global Clients at WPP in New York City, and prior to that she was the Head of Digital at Atlantic Group in Kyiv, Ukraine. Marina has worked on digital projects since 2000, for Air-France / KLM, GM, National Geographic, Disney, Warner Bros, Colgate-Palmolive, HP, Heineken, and many others. The team under her supervision received many awards, including the first ever awarded Broadband Emmy for “Outstanding Achievement In Content For Non-Traditional Delivery Platforms” for the project produced with LA-based Animax for ESPN. In 2013 she founded New York Online, a website for international visitors to New York City. What started as a hobby project has grown into a collection of travel websites for multiple destinations, in 8 languages with customers in 50 countries.

Bruce Amick, COO
Bruce has over 30 years experience in ticketing, bringing innovation and leadership to some of the biggest names in theater and entertainment: Shorenstein Hays Nederlander (SHN), the San Francisco Symphony, the SF Giants, Red & White Fleet (at the time the official operator of the Alcatraz ferry tour), Theatre Direct, Inc. and Broadway.com. In 2003 he co-founded Broadway Inbound with Bob Hofmann and Charlie Flateman. In its first year of existence, Broadway Inbound created the first ever B2B booking platform exclusively for Broadway, including an API to access and book live Broadway inventory. In 2005 Broadway Inbound was acquired by The Shubert Organization and Bruce oversaw all systems and operations aspects of the merger. In 2015, Bruce joined LockData Technologies launching on its behalf “GroupTools” with a license agreement with Shubert Ticketing. At the turn of 2020, Bruce founded VisitorTix with Jonathan Elkoubi, steering WhereTraveler.com (the digital arm of WHERE) and completing, in January 2021, the transfer of its assets onto a new frame optimized for mobile and tablet media content consumption.
Jonathan Elkoubi, CCO
A native of France, Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in Tourism, Attractions and Entertainment, developing Sales and Operations teams from the ground up. Prior to launching Places., Jonathan co-founded VisitorTix with Bruce Amick, successfully completing in January 2021 the transfer of WhereTraveler.com assets onto a new frame optimized for mobile and tablet media content consumption.
He has served in Business Development leadership positions at Applebee’s, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and for the Receptive Tour Operator Bonjour USA. In 2017, he became the Architect of VR World NYC’s commercial strategy – and remains a minority partner of this unique VR-based entertainment venue located steps from the Empire State Building.
Jonathan has held advisory board member positions with the American Bus Association, the National Tour Association and the Students and Youth Travel Association.
