The Next Big Thing: The Art of AI and Human Collaboration

This blog post is about how we embraced the power of AI, how we have been actively using it during the last several months, and how we can help you take your content efforts not just to the next level, but to the 10th power. In less time. And at a fraction of how much it usually costs to produce content.

If you ever met any of us, you know how passionate we have always been about technology, data, and, most importantly, about results. It is this passion that has led us to fully embrace AI and its potential to help achieve even better outcomes for our clients. 

One thing led to another

We merged our companies in April 2021, and quickly signed our first clients for the white label things to do marketplaces, using our own state-of-the-art activities platform. Because our white label marketplaces are fully customizable to reflect audience interests, we needed to produce thousands of pages of original, high-quality, and relevant content in a very short timeframe. 

That’s when we embarked on a super exciting journey of integrating cutting-edge AI into our products. AI and machine learning are two of the most complex technologies in the world today. Integrating them can be a daunting task, it sure isn’t a one-click integration. But that’s a type of task we thrive on.

Once we were ready with our AI-powered product, we decided to test it out and see what it could do before sharing our excitement with the world. 

We were amazed at the results. 

One of our clients (who operates in an extremely competitive environment) asked if we were up for a real-time challenge of generating content using our AI solution right during the video call. Because we are maybe just a little competitive 😉, in about 10 minutes we produced AI-assisted content specific to that client’s goals and audience, and it was published live while we were still on that call. 

The traffic for that page increased by 40% in 2 months, and almost doubled in 3 months after the page was updated. There are thousands of signals that influence ranking, and this client takes very good care of most of those factors, but we are happy we could fuel the growth with relevant content.

For another client, we were able to publish 1.5k pages of relevant content in less than a month, and then doubled the number of pages in 2 months.

And it’s not just SEO that matters.

Everyone knows that the amount of content has been growing exponentially across all channels and devices, making it almost impossible for brands to be discovered. To be able to stand out in this overwhelming content jungle, simply put, you need to be everywhere with relevant content.

Mankind has seen many inventions that have improved productivity. The printing press, the steam engine, the telephone, and the internet are some of the most notable examples. The printing press allowed for a more widespread dissemination of knowledge than existed with hand-copied books, while the internet enabled the sharing of information on a global scale. AI has the potential to completely revolutionize the way we live and work, it is capable of learning and improving its own productivity.

With us, a human is ALWAYS in the loop

AI is widely misunderstood and sometimes feared. While fear may be an overreaction, there are some well founded ethical concerns regarding AI. The consensus at this stage seems to be that human involvement is critical for positive AI outcomes and that AI is unable to replicate the creativity and cognitive flexibility of humans. Trust us, we’ve spent thousands of hours trying (and have some pretty hilarious examples we’ll be sharing.)

While there is a lot of hype around AI, the truth is that it is still in its early days. Businesses that are successful with AI have one thing in common: they keep humans involved. Machines are not capable of doing the things that we humans can do, such as reasoning, making decisions, and being creative. AI can amplify human intelligence but will never replace it.
